
Engineering Manager, EPS & EE Department: Engineering
Location: Shin Yokohama
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Responsible for EPS SW and Electrical HW (ECU, Motor, Torque Sensor and Connector) to meet customer requirements, expectation, and key customer milestones as a member on project development team. Lead internal discussion with the global team and meetings with customers and suppliers. Initiative roll is required to solve complex issues and make proper engineering decisions.
Responsibilities
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Be responsible for Japanese OEM EPS projects.
Lead new business pursuit activities.
Lead the EPS global team for flawless development and SOP.
Act as a direct interface b/w Japanese OEM and the global team.
Lead technical discussion b/w customers and the global team.
(Design Review, DRBFM, DFMEA, Compliance Matrix, Simulation, Testing, Vehicle Tuning/NVH)
Check if technical feedback from the customer’s expectation before customer meetings.
Escalate voice of customer to project team for critical issues.
Evaluate customer requirements and test spec for the global team.
Assist customers for duplicating and debugging issues on the bench and in the vehicle.
Participate in DR and testing at customers for HW/SW releases and SW patches for anomalies.
Support EPS production team in Asia, North America, and other regions.
Support project management for prototype, off-tool sample, and off-too/off-process builds.

Familiar with automotive Safety requirements preferred
Experience with Vector CAN tools, ETAS tools, Lauterbach tools, DDT tool
Experience in embedded systems and / or vehicle systems
Analytical aptitude to identify, diagnose and resolve problems
Be familiar with the manufacturing process for automotive parts. (Preferred)
Understanding geometric tolerance in drawings. (Preferred)
Understanding of SW coding. (Preferred)

Educational Requirements
Education/Degree:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering required.
Experience Requirements
Systems engineering experience preferred.
Min. 8 years SW and Electrical HW application experience in Automotive Industry.
