
Product Engineer, EPS & EE Department: Engineering
Location: Shin Yokohama
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Responsible for EPS Electrical HW design (ECU, Motor, Torque Sensor and Connector) to meet customer requirements, expectation, and key customer milestones as a member on project development team. Lead internal discussion with the global team and meetings with customers and suppliers. Initiative roll is required to solve complex issues and make proper engineering decisions.
Responsibilities
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Be responsible for Japanese OEM EPS projects.
Act as a direct interface with J-OEM to provide voice of customer to the global team.
Attend customer meetings to follow action items until closure.
Lead EPS global team for flawless development and SOP.
Lead new business pursuit activities.
Evaluate customer requirements and test spec to provide clear information to the global team.
Lead technical discussion (DR, DRBFM, DFMEA, Compliance Matrix, Simulation, Testing, Tuning)
Investigate vehicle application issues with the customer and address resolution.
Participate in DR and testing at customer for HW/SW releases and SW patches for anomalies.
Support EPS production team in Asia, North America, and other regions.
Support prototype builds and off-tool sample builds.

Understanding geometric tolerance in drawings. (Preferred)
Be familiar with manufacturing process for automotive parts. (Preferred)
Understanding of SW coding. (Preferred)

Educational Requirements
Education/Degree:
Bachelor’s degree, major in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Electronics or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience Requirements
Working Experience:
Min. 5 years Electrical HW application or Mechanical application experience in Automotive Industry.
