Description

Responsible for product design and ensuring designs meet customer requirements. Serve as a team member on multi-discipline Project Development Teams.

Work is of a technical nature where decisions are made within the limits of general practices and procedures.

Creativity and initiatives are expected to make engineering decisions.

Supervision is available to handle unusual situations.

 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities 

Establish and maintain a good working relationship with the Japanese OEMs customer.
Act as a direct interface with Japanese OEM customer, provide the voice of the customer back to Design Centers.
Understand how our product is applied to the Japanese OEM customer.
Attend customer meetings, complete assigned action items and regularly report on progress.
Work on-site with Japanese OEM customer in Japan during hardware and software testing.
Participate in the development, validation, and improvement of requirements.  
Update vehicle and system bench content.
Assist Japanese OEM customer with duplicating and debugging issues on the bench and in the vehicle.
Investigate vehicle application issues with the customer and address resolution with the appropriate competency.  
Provide vehicle application and voice of the customer input to the program team.
Participate in the validation and testing of HW/SW releases at Japanese OEM customer.
Participate in the validation and testing of SW patches at Japanese OEM Customer.

Skills

Required skills:

Japanese Speaking with English good Skills
Familiar with automotive Safety requirements preferred
Experience with Vector CAN tools, ETAS tools, Lauterbach tools, DDT tool
Experience in embedded systems and/or vehicle systems
Understanding of vehicle’s electrical architectures & communication protocols
Understanding electronic schematic drawing and technical specification
Understanding of SW coding and modelling and technical specifications
Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team
Analytical aptitude to identify, diagnose and resolve problems
Knowledge of automotive product development and testing
Ability to travel to various global sites as required.
