You have no doubt heard all of the complaints regarding millennial. A quick search on the internet will reveal article after article about the demanding, difficult and unqualified nature of millennials.
However, as a recruiting manager or owner of a business, it is important to take such accusations with a grain of salt. As a matter of fact, millennials possess certain traits that could actually do amazing things for your organization.
Millennials do not view work the same as other generations. For example, they are reportedly opposed to cubicles and designated workspaces, nor do they value titles. In addition, failure does not seem to bother millennials at all.
The things that interest this new generation include self-expression, individuality and authenticity. These are not things that will be rewarded in a break room or corporate boardroom. Instead of fitting into a company culture, millennials would rather the company culture change shape to fit them.

Millennials like tinkering and are quite disciplined when it comes to innovation. A recent study found that millennials feel that innovation is something that can be learned and repeated, as opposed to being random and spontaneous.
The Profit Motive
Millennials feel that it is perfectly acceptable for a company to earn a profit from innovation, as long as it benefits society. This is especially the case when it is done in a way that is ethical and positively impacts society.

The millennial generation is educated and swimming in debt. Reports show that they have the highest levels of unemployment, student loan debt, and poverty. They also have the lowest levels of personal income and wealth than other generations possessed at the same point in their lives. Therefore, this generation is eager to get to work and willing to work hard.
